Job summary

gobecare is hiring a Support Worker to assist residents in our Younger & Older Adults Units. You’ll provide personal care, meals support, companionship, and help promote independence in a friendly team.

Experience in care is essential; SVQ2 or equivalent preferred, with SSSC registration or intent to register. You’ll work 33 or 44 hours weekly, days or nights, in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is essential.
• Understanding of National Care Standards and Codes of Conduct.
• SSSC Registration or willingness to register within the required timescale.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Supporting with meals and monitoring fluid intake.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals in both their Younger & Older Adults Units within our clients care home. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting with meals and monitoring liquid intake
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Promoting independence and well-being
• Observing & monitoring the resident’s general wellbeing, reporting & co-ordinating with other staff members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous care experience (essential)
• Right to work in the UK
• Ideally working towards or hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• An Understanding of National Care Standards and Codes of Conducts

• SSSC Registration or willingness to register within the specified timescale.
