Support Worker – Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Redditch

Salary: £12.21 per hour (37.5 hours per week, contracted)

Social Care & Education is seeking a dedicated, fun, and compassionate Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a vibrant young adult. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to become part of a supportive and inclusive team that values enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive approach. The primary focus of this role is to support and engage the service user in daily activities while promoting independence, well-being, and personal growth.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household management, to encourage self-sufficiency.
  • Foster a supportive environment that enables the individual to develop essential life skills and make independent choices.
  • Plan and participate in community outings and recreational activities to promote social engagement.
  • Build a trusting and positive relationship with the service user, ensuring effective communication with the wider support team.
  • Administer medication in line with the service user's care plan and ensure all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Support the service user in attending appointments and engaging with healthcare professionals as required.
  • Provide guidance and assistance in managing personal finances, helping to develop budgeting and money management skills.
