Overview

Support Worker - Potter Heigham

Part time - 25-30 hours per week. Full UK driving licence essential. £12.64 per hour. Shifts start times can vary between 8am-10am, with a late shift 2:30pm-10pm and a long day 8am-8pm.

Role summary

We're looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Potter Heigham, supporting three gentlemen with learning disabilities in their own home. They are aged between 40 and 60 and lead full, active lives, including activities such as walking in the woods, playing snooker, swimming, and shopping. One gentleman goes out daily, so an outdoor, community-focused role may be a good fit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support at home and out in the community.
  • Support with meal preparation and encourage the gentlemen to get involved in cooking and household tasks.
  • Assist with some personal care and routine prompting, supporting independence.
  • Support with medication, including insulin administration, under training and supervision.
  • Work as part of a small, friendly team with shifts that include early, late, and long-day patterns, weekends, and sleep-ins. Rotas are built around the gentlemens routines; flexibility is key.
  • Drive as required (cars may be manual or automatic).
