Support Worker MIDDLESBROUGH - £12.22PH

Full time 35 hours contract.

Typical shifts
  • 9:00-16:00 (training)
  • 08:00-15:00
  • 15:00-22:00
  • 22:00-08:00

Role and responsibilities

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker you’ll be helping people gain more independence in daily lives, while working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people.

Our residential service in Middlesbrough is a welcoming and friendly environment. You’ll enhance the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging access to local communities, socialising and doing activities. One day you could be out in the community with the people we support, the next you could be unwinding with them by playing games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone looking to make a difference and help individuals grow in confidence and independence to meet their goals (e.g., cooking dinner for themselves or going on holiday).

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in our Support Workers having the right experience and values. At this service, applicants should:

  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be resilient, flexible and composed in approach
  • Have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Have experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours
