Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Must demonstrate resilience and flexibility in approach.
  • Previous experience with Positive Behaviour Support is desired.
  • Experience working with individuals who have mental health conditions or autism is preferred.

Job description

Support Worker – Newton Aycliffe - £12.22 per hour

Typical Shifts:

  • Days 07:30-14:30, 14:30-21:30
  • Nights (female only) 21:30-07:30
  • Sleepovers
Compensation and Benefits

Key Responsibilities
  • Help people gain greater independence in their daily lives
  • Teach new life skills and assist with personal care
  • Encourage access to local communities, organise social activities and outings such as pubs, cinemas, video games, and more
  • Provide supervision and support during all activities
  • Support individuals with enhanced support needs, including behaviour of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories, and trauma
Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Resilient, flexible, and composed approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support (behaviour distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories, trauma)
