Active Care Group’s Care in the Home division continues to grow, ensuring we provide safe, reliable, and outcome-based care to all clients through our exceptional support workers, clinicians, and management team.

We are looking to recruit experienced, highly motivated, and proactive Support Workers with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a full clean driving licence to work in Wrexham, Mold, Flint, and surrounding areas of North Wales.

You will be required to attend our company training, which includes staying away from home for 5 days. We will cover travel and accommodation costs, and provide breakfast and lunch.

Meet our clients:

We support three male clients in their own homes, aged between 35 and 60, all with spinal injuries and additional needs such as Tractotomy, Peg Feeding, and/or Mental Health issues.

You will support with daily care and encourage clients to enjoy social activities such as meeting friends at the pub, watching movies, and visiting family.

Work details:

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Days - 8am to 8pm
  • Nights - 8pm to 8am

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping clients safe from harm and protecting their human rights
  • Supporting clients to exercise choice and control over their lives, considering cognitive challenges
  • Liaising with and supporting families as needed
  • Assisting with hygiene and personal care
  • Supporting clients to use local amenities and attend community events
  • Following individual care plans
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential records
  • Participating in manual handling procedures
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to guidance from the case manager

Qualifications and skills:

  • NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Genuine interest in providing person-centered care
  • Experience with clients with challenging behaviors
  • Experience with spinal injury clients is desirable but not essential; full training provided
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
