Night Support Worker – Lowestoft

Salary: £13.39 per hour. Typical Shifts: Mon – Sun (Nights 10pm–7am).

  • Enhanced evening and weekend pay at an additional 50p per hour (Ts & Cs apply)
  • Premium overtime rates at an additional £1 per hour (Ts & Cs apply)

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Lowestoft is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

Responsibilities
  • Help people gain more independence in daily living and participate in activities.
  • Teach new life skills and encourage social engagement in the local community.
  • Assist with personal care and supports as required, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Support with recreational activities, outings, and routines (e.g., cinema, games, bars/pubs as appropriate).
  • Collaborate with the team to create a positive, person-centred plan for well-being and development.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred for this service.
  • Resilient, flexible and composed approach; experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
