We are looking for a male Support Worker to join our team in Southbourne, on a full‑time basis. You’ll be supporting seven residents—three women and four men who each live independently in their own self‑contained flats. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while being part of a friendly, dedicated team.
Please note: Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship.
To be considered for this role you must hold a full UK driving licence; however access to your own vehicle is not essential.
Aspire in Southbourne offers young adults a vital transition from living at home to achieving independence. As a Support Worker, you’ll provide day‑to‑day support tailored to the needs of each resident. The people you’ll be working with may have Autism, ADHD, or other associated learning needs, and your support will play a key role in helping them build confidence and essential life skills.
Your role will involve a mix of meaningful support—from helping with daily routines such as food preparation, shopping, personal care and administering medication, to accompanying residents as they access the community and pursue their interests, such as day trips into the forest, attending workshops and clubs, cake tasting in local cafés or going to watch football in the Brewhouse. The options are endless!
Between 7 am – 10 pm, Monday – Sunday. This role would include alternate weekends and sleep‑ins (sleep‑ins come with an additional payment).
