Job summary

Voyage Care in Longhope is seeking a caring Support Worker to help people gain independence, assist with daily tasks, personal care, and participate in community activities. You’ll work as part of a supportive team in a residential setting, with shifts that mix early and late hours.

Candidates should have a UK driving license (preferred) and the ability to adapt; full training provided, with a pathway to develop skills in Positive Behaviour Support and supportive care.

Qualifications

Support Worker

Location: Longhope (please be aware you may need transport to get to Longhope as public transport does not get you to shift on time)

**It is preferable to have held a UK Manual Driving License and be over age of 21 in order to drive our vehicle to go out on activities***

£12.84 up to £14.34 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Contract: 35hrs
Typical Shifts are: a mixture: 7am - 2pm and 2pm-9pm

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
