Active Care Group in Horncastle is seeking a companion/driver to support a male client in his own home. The role runs on bank day shifts from 9am to 5.30pm with a flexible zero-hours contract, lunchtime provided, and ongoing care team support.

You will assist with social outings, appointments, shopping, and daily activities, building a trusted relationship and ensuring client wellbeing with supportive communication and companionship.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.

Meet the Client:

I am a gentleman in my early 60's living in mid Lincolnshire. I suffered a brain injury thirty one years ago and have some mobility problems. I enjoy going to social events and clubs and visiting friends and family. I live on my own but require full time support from a companion /driver/carer to get me out and about in my own car.

About the job role:

• To work flexible bank shifts throughout the month from 9am to 5.30pm
• To support the existing team for holiday and sickness cover
• To support me in the house
• To support me out and about shopping, at appointments and other social events.
• To be good at communicating with people and including me in the conversations.
• Lunch included (either at my home or out)

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

About the ideal candidate:

• Will be enthusiastic, patient, caring and can show initiative
• Will have experience of caring at someone's home
• Will understand the needs relating to my brain injury
• Will hold a full driving licence, preferably clean
• Will live locally and know the local roads

When you will be working:

Day shifts (9am-5.30pm) Flexible bank shifts covering holiday and sickness approximately 2-3 days + per month
