Position: Healthcare Support Worker – Band 2

Location: Rosewood Care Home, Charlwood Road, Horley, RH6 0BG

Contract type: Permanent

Working pattern: Full Time

Salary: Band 2 (£25,768 a year, incl. 5% HCAS, pa, pro rata)

We are recruiting Healthcare Support Workers for Rosewood Care Home, a registered care home with nursing services, accommodating up to eight individuals with learning disabilities and associated profound physical and health needs.

Rosewood is a spacious, purpose‑built bungalow featuring eight large single rooms, designed for both male and female adults, including overhead tracking systems and epilepsy monitoring systems where required. The home is registered to perform two regulated activities: providing accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, and treating disease, disorder or injury.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a professional team supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex health needs. You will work closely with relatives, carers, friends, advocates, colleagues and other professionals, promoting and delivering a consistently high‑quality, safe, person‑centred service that encourages independence and a good quality of life.

About You
  • Experience of providing care or support to an individual, either paid or unpaid.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care desirable but not essential.
  • Passion, drive and commitment to improve the lives of people with a learning disability.
  • Care Certificate or willingness to complete within 12 weeks of starting role.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience of caring for someone, either paid or as a family member.

Desirable:

  • NVQ level 2.
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a care home or day service.
