Support Worker

We currently have opportunities for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Worker to join our scheme in Hoddesdon. At Haslewood Avenue, we offer day to day support, including personal care, hoisting, meal preparation and assistance with medication to people with learning difficulties.

Responsibilities
  • Assess needs and develop personalised support plans
  • Promote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
  • Provide personal care with sensitivity and respect
  • Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans
  • Induct and assist in the mentoring of new staff
  • Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals
About you
  • Experience in the care or support sector
  • Can‑do attitude and genuine desire to help others thrive
  • Effective communication and adaptation to different needs and preferences
  • Flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
  • Work well as part of a team and independently

  • Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service (Pro Rata)
