Overview

Care and Case Management Services Ltd (CCMS) are fully committed to delivering excellent support to all of our clients and their families and put their thoughts and expectations at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to offer distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired/traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions. We are recruiting a support worker to support an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy living in his own home in the Hessle area. The client is a wheelchair user and communicates using high and low tech communication devices and via facial expressions and gestures. He can express his wishes and preferences to those who know him well. The role will involve enabling the client to engage in rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, and empowering him to be as independent as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to the child in the home environment, enabling participation in rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, and promoting independence.
  • Work flexible hours to cover weekends, evenings, and family holidays as required.
  • Attend to moving and handling and all aspects of personal care as needed.
  • Support with communication needs using the client’s devices, facial expressions, and gestures.
Location and Compensation
  • Location: Hessle
  • Rates of pay: £13.50 per hour
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to provide individualized support.
  • Previous care experience with children is preferred.
  • Ability to participate in a range of activities with the client.
  • Full moving and handling training and capability to provide personal care as required.
  • Full UK Driver’s License is essential.
Training and Supervision

The successful applicants will receive full training for this role, input from therapists, and regular supervision by the Case Manager.
