Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking caring, positive and motivated Support Workers to join our team, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live the lives they choose.

You’ll provide person-centred support promoting independence, dignity and inclusion, with training and career development available. This role offers a chance to empower people and make a real difference daily.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, dignity and inclusion.
• Supporting daily living activities and personal care when required.

• Assisting with appointments, healthcare needs and medication administration.
• Supporting people to manage finances and maintain a safe home.
• Working with families, colleagues and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion. No two days are the same, and your role may include:

• Supporting people with daily living activities and personal care when required.
• Encouraging independence and helping people develop new skills.
• Supporting individuals to access their local community, attend activities, pursue hobbies, and maintain relationships.
• Assisting with appointments, healthcare needs, and medication administration.
• Supporting people to manage their finances and make informed choices.
• Helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.
• Working closely with families, colleagues, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
