Support Workers

Location: Trafford / Urmston, M41 (4 min walk from Humphrey Park Train Station)

Requirements: Full UK Driving License

Who will I be supporting?

You will support 2 young men in their early 20s who enjoy biking, badminton, swimming, cinema outings, baking, and arts & crafts. They have autism, communication difficulties, and may display behaviours of distress. An active, outgoing, and positive attitude is essential.

What will I be doing?

• Supporting the young men to live their lives according to their choices and goals.
• Helping increase their independent living skills at home.
• Using visual aids to support activity planning for one individual.
• Assisting with personal care, meal prep, medication, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Supporting individuals with behaviours of distress; person-centred training will be provided. Previous experience with complex behavioural needs is preferred.

Shift Patterns

Days: 9am – 3pm
Afternoons: 3pm – 9pm
Long Day Sleep-In: 9am – 10pm, sleep in, then 8am – 9am follow-up (Weekends)
Afternoon Sleep-In: 3pm – 10pm, sleep in, then 8am – 9am next day (Weekdays)
Waking nights: 9pm – 9am
Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance to support work/life balance.
