We are looking for Support Workers to join us on a full-time basis, working 38.5 hours per week including a mixture of days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Cygnet Hospital Derby provides low secure and mental health rehabilitation care based on the Recovery Model. Our integrated male care pathway includes Litchurch Ward, our low secure ward, and the Wyvern Unit, our mental health rehabilitation service. Alvaston Ward, our specialist female personality disorder service, is one of the leading services of its kind in the East and West Midlands.
Cygnet Hospital Derby has a "GOOD" CQC rating in all areas, and the Internal Quality Team rated Cygnet Hospital Derby as "GOOD" in all areas in May 2024.
We are currently looking for aspiring Psychologists, Forensic Psychologists, and Criminologists Post Graduates to apply as well.
Cygnet Hospital Derby offers honorary Assistant Psychologist posts, Substance Misuse honorary posts, and many of our Support Workers have gone on to Assistant Psychologist posts within Cygnet.
In this role, you will work alongside a first-class multi-disciplinary team, including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, and Mental Health Nurses.

If you are working on our Alvaston Ward on a permanent basis, a 2-day face-to-face DBT awareness course is guaranteed for successful applicants within 6 to 12 months of starting.
Other psychological face-to-face 1-day training includes:
Working with Sex Offenders, Personality Disorder awareness, Trauma Skills, Addiction Recovery, Supervision Skills, 1:1 Skills
These are all delivered by our in-house Psychology Team.
