Job description

This is a support worker role at Cotswold Spa, a specialist eating disorder service located in Broadway, Worcestershire. The role involves providing care and support to young people aged 13 to 25 with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. The service offers both inpatient and day patient treatment programmes.

Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, you will join an inclusive and supportive team that works together to provide care to young people with eating disorders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours, adapting care, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It's a challenging but rewarding role, requiring a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance to help people improve and lead a more valued and fulfilled life.

Job responsibilities

Use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to make a positive difference to the lives of young people aged 13-17 and young adults aged 18-25. You will be part of an inclusive team that cares, conducts ward rounds, analyses behaviours, adapts care, updates records, assists with personal hygiene, and supports the journey towards recovery.

Working conditions

• Shift pattern: 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends (38.5 hours per week). Hours range from 8 am to 8:15 pm or 8 pm to 8:15 am.
• Full time permanent, part time, nights only, and bank (zero‑hour contract options available).
• Location: Cotswold Spa, Station Road, Broadway, Worcestershire, WR12 7DE.
