Job description
Overview

Queens Cross is a vibrant Community Disability hub, co-produced with people who have lived experience of disability and who are living independently in their own homes throughout the borough. People are at the front and centre of everything that happens at our hub, working in partnership with us to continually improve the service.

Role

Support Worker — 30 hours per week — Grade 4.

The role is an enabling position to provide discreet and person-led support to people with physical/sensory and learning disabilities or other long‑term health conditions in the building-based service. You will meet all aspects of the physical, social and emotional care of people who use and help to co-produce the service, and support the development and implementation of individualised, highly person-centred support programmes.

Requirements and Safeguarding
  • The council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Adults Enhanced DBS check. The post is subject to medical clearance and enhanced DBS check.
  • All applicants must be able to provide documentation proving their right to work in the UK. Dudley MBC does not currently offer sponsorship for candidates without the Right to Work in the UK.
