Job summary

Havencare Homes and Support Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to assist people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and other needs in Plymouth. You will support daily living at home and in the community, helping individuals enjoy activities and outings in a person-centered way.

The role requires a Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work. Shifts include weekend working on a rotating basis, with training, DBS checks, and ongoing development opportunities

• Willingness to work weekends on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Support people with day-to-day living in their homes and in the community.
• Assist with aspects of personal care as needed.
• Support people with activities they enjoy, e.g., cinema, parks, shopping, and travel by bus or train.

About the Role:

Your role would involve supporting people with all aspects of day-to-day living, some aspects of personal care, in their homes and out in the community. The people you would support have a range of interests which include going to cinema, disco, picnic in the park, trampolining. They also enjoy walking into town for a coffee, shopping and exploring different places by bus or train. If you share these interests, then this could be a great opportunity for you to work in an environment that combines your shared interests with your career.

About the usual working pattern:

• To be discussed at interview. Shift patterns will include weekend working on a rotational basis.
