Job summary

Support Worker (Relief) - Ballymena

AA Euro Healthcare has partnered with a leading organisation to hire qualified and experienced Support Workers (relief) in Ballymena.

Requirements:
  1. A Qualification in Social Care or a related discipline and/or
  2. A minimum of 2 years’ employment experience in a similar role (e.g., Day Services, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care, Learning Disability, Autism)
  3. Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
  4. Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
  5. Full clean B driving license
  6. Eligibility to work in Northern Ireland
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with activities and care for children/adults as assigned by management and indicated in the person’s Integrated Care Plan
  2. Report changes in the child/adult’s condition or behaviour to the Manager
  3. Develop social interaction skills for children/adults both individually and in group settings
  4. Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR, respecting organisational and service users’ privacy
  5. Undertake any other duties within the scope of a Healthcare Assistant to meet service requirements

The above list is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be added over time. Flexibility to cover other staff roles is required from time to time.

All prospective candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check and provide two written references.
