Job description
Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals. This role involves working with individuals who may have experienced trauma, or who have learning disabilities and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Your role will be crucial in ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. We have two Residential Support Worker opportunities available on a Permanent basis, and the positions offer an immediate start for the successful applicant.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and practical support to individuals in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in developing independent living skills, and social engagement.
  • Implement and follow care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with families, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support individuals with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and bedtime routines.
  • Encourage participation in recreational activities, hobbies, and community engagement.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a trauma-informed way.
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed and report any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with legal and organisational requirements.
Key Requirements
