Autism Initiatives in Edinburgh is seeking Support Workers to join our Outreach service across the city, including in people’s homes and a planned supported living project in Muirhouse. This part-time role offers up to 35 hours per week with a pro rata salary shown.
Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to support autistic people and a commitment to PVG/SSSC registration are key. We offer ongoing development and a range of benefits as part of our expanding services in Edinburgh.
We have Support Worker opportunities for individuals to join our Outreach service across Edinburgh.
Our Edinburgh Outreach Services provide dynamic outreach services across the city within the community, in people’s own homes, as well as use of a building base. We are also in the process of opening a new supported living service within the Muirhouse area.
At Autism Initiatives we provide specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to making a difference to the lives of autistic people, as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.
As a Support Worker you will promote the positive health and well‑being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life and encouraging them to live as independently as possible.
Given the nature of this role, successful applicants must register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent regulatory body.
