Support Worker - (25786)

Position: Support Worker

Type: Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), working a shift pattern covering the service 7 days a week

Salary and Benefits: Earn £24,850 per annum and enjoy great benefits including Health Cash Plan

As our Lead Support Worker, you will support customers with complex needs such as alcohol and substance misuse, mental health, and homelessness, helping them develop skills for independent living. Your work will empower customers to achieve their goals and improve their lives.

Typical Day as a Support Worker

  1. Assist customers with practical daily tasks to foster independence, supporting their goals outlined in support plans.
  2. Help with activities like budgeting, maintaining tenancy, and moving to independent accommodation.
  3. Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  4. Engage in conversations, building rapport with customers and colleagues.

You will join Richard (Senior Client Service Manager), Rea (Cheltenham-based Client Service Manager), and the Gloucestershire team, all dedicated to delivering high-quality support and achieving excellent outcomes for our clients. We are passionate and proud of our work.

Job Details

  • Flexible working hours, with a six-week rolling rota covering 7 days a week.
  • Occasional lone working, with regular team meetings and training.
  • Use of technology for support plans, online learning, and collaboration.
  • Enhanced DBS check required, paid for by us.
