Job summary

Priority Healthcare is excited to present a brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in Burnley to support a 25-year-old with brain injury in his own home. You will help him engage with the community and assist in daily life, including personal care and medication administration.

The role requires at least 12 months of healthcare experience, a full UK driving license for manual vehicles, and a commitment to DBS checks. We offer weekly pay and competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of healthcare experience.
• Experience with brain injury or other complex conditions is preferred.
• Must have a full UK driving licence and be able to operate a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the client at home and help with daily living tasks.
• Assist in community engagement and transport as required.
• Monitor seizures and assist with medication administration and personal care.

Job Title: Support Worker

Location: Burnley, BB10

Pay rate: £13.75 - £14.85 an hour

Job Type: 36 hours per week (3 shifts per week + flexibility for sickness/AL)

Shift and schedule: 8am to 8pm

This is an excellent opportunity to support 25-year-old with brain injury in his own home. The client lives with an extensive brain injury and is medically complex. This role would include helping him interact with the community and assisting in his everyday life.

Client and Role:

• The client is an individual living with extensive brain injury and epilepsy, the role is supporting him at his own home.


• The client requires manual handing, medication administration, seizure monitoring and personal care

Successful Applicant:

• Must have at least 12 months of previous experience in healthcare.


• Previous experience dealing with brain injury or other complex conditions


• Must have a full and valid UK driving license and be able to operate a manual vehicle.
