Job description
Overview

Join a Truly Special Care Team in Flintshire

Are you a dedicated Support Worker with your NVQ Level 3 or eager to achieve one with fully funded training?

Role Type: Double-handed support | 13-hour day shifts (8am-9pm)| 3 days per week over 7 days

Are you a compassionate, intuitive carer with a heart for making meaningful connections? Do you believe that care is more than just a job—it's a calling? If so, we\'d love to introduce you to someone truly remarkable.

About the Client

Our client is a vibrant soul who sustained an acquired brain injury (ABI) following a choking incident. Though non-verbal, his personality beams through every smile, every tear, and every shared moment. He lives independently in his own home and is supported by a close-knit, loving family who are actively involved in his care journey.

He\'s a wheelchair user, has a PEG, and requires full personal care with double-handed support. Communication is beautifully unique—he understands both Welsh and English and responds with expressive smiles or tears. If you\'re someone who can read between the lines and connect beyond words, you\'ll thrive in this role.

What our client loves:

  • Live music (just not too loud!)
  • Football & rugby—especially Manchester United
  • Laughing along to Brassic and other series
  • Trampolining and hydrotherapy
  • Prom walks and community outings
  • Visits from Mum, Dad, and their adorable dog
What you will Need
  • Must be a driver (over 25) to drive his mobility van
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified
  • Kind, patient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Able to commit to either 3 shifts/week or 2 shifts/week (if job shared)
  • Open to a warm Meet & Greet with the client and his family before starting
What to look forward to
  • Salaries up to £13.50 per hour

  • Accrued holiday pay
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • And, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group
