Job Title: Support Worker

Job Type: Temporary – On going

Location: Dereham, Norfolk

Days and hours of work: Varies (day and night shifts available)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary/Hourly rate: £13.50ph to £16.00ph (Bank holidays paid at an enhanced rate)

Pay Scheme: PAYE

We are recruiting for dedicated and committed support workers to work in the Dereham area to work alongside our client who supports younger residents with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Follow instructions and care plans at individual settings.
  • Treat Service Users with respect at all times.
  • Support individuals with their personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and Service Users.
  • Encourage the independence and motivation of the Service User.
  • Support the Service Users to make informed choices.
  • Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Take Service Users into the community and on day trips when needed.
  • Provide companionship to service users and communicate effectively with them.
  • Protect the confidentiality of all Service Users and Clients.
  • Recognise signs of abuse and report through the necessary channels.
Requirements for the role
  • UK experience as a care or support worker is essential.
  • Reliable, resilient and compassionate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Transport desirable.
  • Online DBS essential.
