Overview

Support Worker – Trowbridge, Wiltshire – £12.34 per hour

Typical shifts are: Monday to Sunday 07:00–14:00, 14:00–21:00, or long days if preferred. Join Voyage Care and feel valued – we reward dedication with enhanced pay and a range of staff benefits.

Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. You will help people gain more independence in daily life, work within a dynamic team, and support a group of individuals to develop life skills. Activities may include community access (shopping, swimming, cinema, garden centres), personal care assistance, and enabling social interaction and engagement with activities.

This role supports individuals to reach goals such as preparing meals independently and increasing confidence and independence.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience or willingness to work with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, and those who have experienced trauma
  • Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is preferred
  • Full UK driving license (not essential but preferred)
  • Resilient, flexible, and composed in approach
