Overview

Job Title: Support Worker

Location: Derbyshire

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, Part Time

Salary: £12.80 per hour

Additional Information: Full UK driving licence essential

This is a lone working role and you will need to be available for 24/7 shift patterns

Note: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. For this act, you must declare any convictions or cautions that you have received, including those that would otherwise be spent. This role is subject to an Enhanced check should you be offered the position. Thera follows government guidance around vaccines and believes they are an effective way to support everyone’s safety. We would encourage you to take part in any vaccination programme if you are working in Social Care.

Responsibilities
  • Support adults with a learning disability in daily living and personal development
  • Help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve their goals, aims and ambitions
  • Provide personal and emotional support; assist with planning and managing own home
  • Support with leisure, employment, individual interests and travel; work may be in clients’ homes or in the community
  • Adapt support to each person’s needs, using a person-centred approach

  • No previous experience or qualifications required; free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
