Job summary

Care Quality Services is seeking a Support Worker to help vulnerable people in Mochdre, Colwyn Bay. You will support individuals with varying needs and promote independence in their own homes.

The role offers a two-week shift pattern with 42 hours per week on a mix of 12- and 24-hour shifts, with a pay rate of £12 per hour depending on experience. Training and progression opportunities, plus benefits, are available.

Qualifications

• No experience is required and full training is provided.
• Opportunity to complete NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Care through work-based learning.

• Support individuals day-to-day to live independently in their own homes.
• Promote a safe, healthy and secure living environment and build relationships to support social development.
• Assist with daily living activities and, where needed, support with personal care.

Job description

We're looking for Support Workers in the Mochdre area, Colwyn Bay. As a Support Worker with Care Quality Services, you'll play a key role in improving the lives of vulnerable people through the care and support you provide. You'll be supporting individuals with varying needs and abilities, including learning disabilities, complex needs and mental health conditions.

Role Highlights:

• We operate a two-week shift pattern made up of 24-hour and 12-hour shifts, averaging 42 hours per week.

  • Week A: Tuesday 7pm (12-hour sleep-in), Friday 9am–Saturday 9am (24-hour shift).

  • Week B: Tuesday 7pm (12-hour sleep-in), Thursday 7pm (12-hour sleep-in), Sunday 9am–Monday 9am (24-hour shift).

• £12 per hour, depending on experience and available positions.

• We can consider both drivers and non-drivers.

• Opportunity to complete NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Care through work-based learning, with further progression available.

You'll build relationships, encourage social development and support individuals in all aspects of daily living. This may include accompanying them on holidays, attending social events, and interacting with families and friends.

Some of the individuals in our supported living homes are capable of leading independent lives, and your role will be to help them maintain that independence and live their best life. The role may include elements of personal care.
