Job summary

Schneider Geospatial, LLC in Coleraine, United Kingdom, is seeking a Support Specialist to deliver remote customer service for desktop and SaaS products. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document cases, and work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial team.

Ideal candidates have SQL/Python basics, Windows OS familiarity, and GIS knowledge. The role is hybrid in Coleraine with a salary range of £25k–£30k per year and UK work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading/writing SQL.
• Experience reading/writing basic script programs (Python).
• Experience with Windows OS, file directory and network navigation, basic OS admin tasks.
• Experience reading/writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a strong plus.
• Experience with GIS, ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and email support relating to maintaining Schneider Geospatial’s web products.
• Respond to client calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Remotely connect to client machines to assist with Data ETL connection issues.
• Analyse client issues, troubleshoot the problem, and implement the solution.
• Document and record case communications.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to verbally communicate clearly with client over the phone in English.
• Good communication, enunciation, and grammar skills (in English) are highly important.

The Schneider Geospatial Support Specialist serves as a front-lineteam member providing excellent remote customer service for clients and end users of our desktop and SaaS applications, while managing many concurrent tasks. An ideal candidate will use problem solving skills to troubleshoot initial problems related to hardware and software to identify and resolve technical problems.

• Experience with Windows OS, file directory and network navigation, basic OS admin tasks.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience reading/writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a strong plus
• Strong desire to successfully and enthusiastically support software that is being used to solve customer problems.
• Experience with local government (county and municipal) operations, especially pertaining to land assessment and taxation, infrastructure and asset management.

• Experience with Schneider Geospatial’s software products, a strong plus.
• Experience with GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS products, is a plus.
