NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Posts are based at New Victoria Hospital - All candidates must be aware that they may be asked to work in different locations within the sector dependant on the needs of the service.

x 1 Monday - Friday 0700-1200 24.6 hours per week

x1 Monday - Friday 1700-2100 19.73 hours per week

x 2 Monday - Friday 1600-2000 19.73 hours per week

You will undertake the cleaning of patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with national standards of cleanliness, provide patient catering at ward level, patient laundering, mop laundering, patients housekeeping, curtain changing and porter/messenger services within various health care environments including Acute Wards, Clinical Departments, Mental Health wards, Health Centres, Resource Centres and Ambulance Stations

As part of the role you will have a lot of contact with patients so good communication skills are essential.

Training will be provided including 3 days induction prior to commencement of role

You must have right to work in UK for the duration of your employment and be able to provide at least two references from current or most previous employment/education covering the last 3 years.
