A reputable care provider in Galashiels is seeking a Support Practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. The role requires a compassionate attitude and offers flexibility in shift patterns, comprehensive training, and support towards qualifications. As a Support Practitioner, we guarantee heaps of job satisfaction. No two days are ever the same. You’ll play a HUGE part in making a difference in the lives of people living with disabilities and additional support needs in your local community based in Galashiels and the central Borders Area.
The people we support live busy active lives and strive to be seen and heard in their local communities. They have a wide variety of interests. These include gardening, music (both playing and listening), attending events and concerts, volunteering, going to premiership football games, arts and crafts, and much more. However they are always keen to learn from you.
You don’t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we’ll give you all the training you’ll need if you’re successful. We’ll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

We understand the importance of a good work/life balance, so we try to be as flexible as possible with our shift patterns. Our team currently deliver support generally between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. seven days per week. However there may be opportunities to pick up additional hours in one of our 24‑hour services.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
