A water infrastructure service provider in Rhyl requires a Traffic Management Operative to install and maintain traffic systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must hold EUSR Water SHEA and National Water Hygiene accreditations, possess a valid driving license, and have experience in traffic management. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team.
Our teams deliver large‑scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long‑term while protecting the environment.
You’ll install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management systems including cones, signs, barriers, and lights.
The role ensures compliance with health and safety standards, traffic regulations, and contributes to the smooth flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic during works.
You’ll set up pedestrian management systems in accordance with approved traffic management plans and conduct site risk assessments and ensure all activities comply with health and safety legislation.
We’ll need you to respond to operations call‑outs and incidents requiring urgent traffic management support.
You’ll liaise with supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services along with maintaining equipment and vehicles in good working order, reporting defects or issues promptly.
You’ll complete relevant documentation including site records, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Have you gained a EUSR Water SHEA and EUSR National Water Hygiene accreditation?
Do you have a valid driving licence? You will need one to be considered for this role.
Do you have the ability to work within health and safety legislation?
Have you got proven experience in traffic management or similar operational role?
Do you have a good understanding of Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and relevant legislation?
