Our client’s mission goes beyond individual support; they actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in society.

They are now looking for a Support and Integration Officer to join them in Bristol on a full‑time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support and Integration Officer, you will deliver high‑quality support and guidance to help refugees in Bristol successfully resettle and integrate into their new communities.

Taking ownership of a caseload, you will conduct pre‑tenancy assessments and create personalised support plans to address the diverse needs of service users.

You’ll offer practical, informed guidance on housing, finance, education, health, and immigration, as well as providing support with budgeting, registering with care providers, and creating social networks. Offering advocacy support, you will also advise on volunteering, training, and employment opportunities.

Alongside your one‑to‑one work, you will develop strong relationships with local agencies, co‑ordinate group sessions and help individuals connect with the wider opportunities and community resources available to them.

Additionally, you will:

  • Make referrals to relevant departments and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and files to a high standard
  • Participate fully in team meetings, training, supervision, and other staff activities
  • Organise house meetings and carry out property and community visits
What Our Client is Looking For

To be considered as a Support and Integration Officer, you will need:

  • Experience of working with asylum seekers or refugees in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Experience of providing advice and guidance, advocacy and culturally sensitive support
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex/multiple support needs
  • Experience of creating support plans and completing needs assessments
  • Experience and capability to support refugees in the UK
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in relation to working with vulnerable adults
  • The ability to effectively assess, manage and continuously review needs and risks
  • The ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes

Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.
