Overview

Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher
Location: Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Flexible - Day-to-Day, Short-Term or Long-Term
Daily Rate: 150 to 220 per day (dependent on experience)

Role

Empowering Learning are looking for confident and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of supportive secondary schools in the Greater Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers seeking flexibility, variety, and the chance to experience different school environments.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups
  • Support the learning and progress of all students
  • Build strong relationships with staff and pupils
  • Provide feedback to department leads where required
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Previous experience teaching within a secondary school
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident across multiple subjects or year groups
  • A valid enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
