Job summary

Step Teachers is recruiting a Supply Teacher for long-term, temporary and ongoing roles starting September 2026 in Glastonbury. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students' engagement.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, solid secondary teaching experience, and strong behaviour management in line with school policies. Safeguarding and DBS checks apply.

Duties as a Supply Teacher:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas


• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment


• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Adapt confidently to different classes and year groups


• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons

Ideal Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
