Are you compassionate, adaptable and ready to make a meaningful impact across SEN schools in Plymouth? If so, this supply role could be the perfect fit.

We are seeking committed Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of SEN settings on a full-day basis (8:30am-3:30pm). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants the flexibility to choose the days they work, while still providing meaningful support to pupils with a wide range of additional needs-including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, communication needs, and complex learning difficulties.

You will receive a mix of morning calls, pre-booked placements, and same-day opportunities, depending on your availability.

As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils individually or in small groups

  • Assist with personalised learning activities set by teachers or SENCOs

  • Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and emotional regulation

  • Help pupils with communication, social interaction, and daily routines

  • Adapt quickly to new school environments and pupil needs

  • Build supportive, professional relationships with pupils and staff across multiple schools

Your support will help create safe, structured, and nurturing learning environments-wherever you are placed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND

  • Is flexible, reliable, and confident working in different school settings

  • Is calm, patient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners

  • Can respond to morning calls and short-notice bookings

  • Is able to work full days (8:30am-3:30pm) when accepting placements

  • Works well independently and as part of a team
