Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Primary Supply Teacher to cover pre-planned lessons across Southend-on-Sea, Essex. You will deliver engaging activities, maintain high behaviour standards and help pupils progress when their class is absent.

Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Dependent on Experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of fantastic Primary Schools across Southend-on-sea who are looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to join them on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis.

Whether you're an experienced Primary Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), supply teaching offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, enjoy greater flexibility, and build relationships with a range of local schools. We have work available to suit your availability, whether you're looking for one day a week or full-time opportunities.

The successful Primary Supply Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour, creating an engaging learning environment, and ensuring pupils continue to make progress in the absence of their class teacher.

The successful Primary Supply Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Experience teaching within a UK Primary School
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
• A positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching
