Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for our Wholesale team. You will own end-to-end data and performance for your categories, driving improvements and ensuring availability for wholesale partners and our convenience business.

You will influence decisions with data, manage supplier performance, and collaborate across teams to optimise lead times, service levels, and cost-to-serve in a fast-paced environment at Morrisons Head Office.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with colleagues from all levels of the business, and excellent stakeholder management ability
• Advanced level proficiency in applications such as Excel and Google
• Ability to deliver high standards in a time-pressured environment
• Ability to work well in a team and individually
• Experience in forecasting, data management and interpreting trend

• Provide excellent service availability to wholesale partners and our own convenience business
• Own end-to-end data and performance for your categories
• Collaborate on strategic improvements: lead time optimisation, service to 98%, end-to-end productivity, lowest cost to serve, exception management
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with the full business team and external stakeholders
• Build and improve processes with existing and new customers
• Analyse data to report KPI performance and communicate supply chain category performance to drive actions
• Actively manage supplier base and negotiate with suppliers on service performance

We're on the look out for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Wholesale team at Morrisons. Together, we tackle business challenges, enhance our performance and unlock the true potential of our data to drive forward the supply chain function. This role is fast paced and you'll be at the heart of decision making, using data and influence to make improvement and change!

As a member of our team, you will take ownership for outstanding availability to our Wholesale partners and convenience shops in your designated product categories whilst delivering against stock and waste targets to minimise cash impacts to the business. The successful candidate will actively participate in running and improving the business team.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Working as part of the business team to provide excellent service availability to wholesale partners and our own convenience business
• Owning end to end data and performance for your categories
• Working collaboratively on strategic improvements for your categories such as: lead time optimisation, driving service to 98%, end to end productivity, lowest cost to serve, exception management
• Developing strong collaborative relationships with the full business team and external stakeholders
• To build and improve current processes and practices with our existing and new customers.
• Analysing data to be able to report accurately on KPI performance and communicate supply chain category performance out to the wider business in a clear, concise way to drive decision making and actions
• Actively managing supplier base and negotiating with suppliers on service performance
