Supply Chain Planning Manager: Dotcom

About the role

The Supply Chain Planning Manager (Dotcom and Hybrid) role is a full-time role based in our Nottingham Support Office. It is a pivotal role in the success of our dotcom supply chain, working across a wide range of stakeholder groups to ensure supply, commercial and operational plans are connected, and our operations are set up for success.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Planning within our Logistics function, this role will work closely with a wide group of stakeholders across Supply, Logistics Operations, Commercial and Digital Operations to ensure supply, commercial and operational plans are connected, and our operations are set up for success.

The role is responsible for setting and executing the operational capacity requirement and strategy for all dotcom fulfilment locations in our supply chain network. They will lead a small team of Planning Leads to create accurate operational capacity plans and forecasts and to define and execute appropriate inventory strategies to support those plans.

Key responsibilities
  • Leadership of the dotcom supply chain planning process, turning business plans into accurate operational capacity plans, budgets and forecasts
  • Developing and using complex insights to help define our future network strategy and capacity plans
  • Defining and delivering continuous improvement projects that drive the best balance of operational capacity and cost with working capital investments
  • Defining optimal inventory strategies and working with commercial supply teams on execution of those across our network
  • Participate in cross-functional transformation projects as a supply chain subject matter expert
  • Providing inspirational leadership and support for a small team of planning experts
What you'll need to have
  • Previous experience in a supply chain related leadership role
  • Knowledge and experience of forecasting and replenishment and operational planning and forecasting tools and methodologies
  • Detailed knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operation and inventory management processes, with the ability to make appropriate trade‑off decisions
  • Analytical and highly organized, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights and actions
  • Change management mindset with the confidence to try new things. Ability to work with and influence several stakeholder types, including at a Senior Leadership level
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience of Boots supply chain operations and systems
  • Detailed knowledge of current Forecasting and Replenishment systems and Order Management Systems for Dotcom order routing and fulfilment
  • Experience using Azure / Power BI tools to develop analytical insights and operational reporting requirements
