The Supply Chain Planner–Senior will support the Spare (buffer) planning process for a regional business. The Supply Chain Planning team is responsible for securing materials used in Zebra’s operations. Supply requirements are moderated by the team to ensure that inventory positions are appropriate to meet the demand requirements relative to forecasted levels, inventory on order and in transit from distribution centers, product life cycle, quality, and special customer requirements and/or projects. The team cooperates with Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Finance, Helpdesk and Customer Experience Management teams.

Responsibilities
  • Work with regional Logistical and Repair Centers, 3PLs, Contracts Distribution, Repair Operations and CEMs (Customer Experience Manager to review new Premium Service contracts and contracts renewals to evaluate operational readiness and identify buffer stock requirements
  • Report KPIs to regularly evaluate the health of the buffer and report to management;
    • Expectations:
      • Correct and timely replenishment of buffer locations with hardware units and accessories
      • Timely order of buffer units for new and existing service contracts and their correct processing in all systems to avoid miss of OTD (on-time-delivery) due to missing buffer stock
      • Fast and effective Buffer approvals for all types of service contracts
  • Develop and maintain scorecard to report lost jobs on Premium Service contracts on a weekly basis that would highlight root causes, drive corrective actions, define the owners, track the trends & dynamics
  • Coordinate efforts to source End of Life/Obsolete devices to meet contractual obligations till End of Service Life of hardware devices
  • Develop the methodology to effectively address the spare pool excess through inventory reduction actions and rebalancing of spare pool assets (implement the elements of Six Sigma system, apply right time/right place/right quality mindset)
  • Facilitate the cross-functional process by proactive feedback and proposals for improvement to ensure internal alignment/joint actions and as a result maximum level of support for Customer
  • Coordinate and manage the process of returning the faulty units from Customers in collaboration with CEMs (Account Managers), Customer Service Non-Technical support, Repair Centers and Finance to keep the amount of buffer units sufficient to support all service contracts
  • To perform timely inventory adjustments of spare pool assets upon request and during physical inventory counts to ensure 98% inventory accuracy
  • Develop and share Best Practices within and across the regions in Spare Pool Planning, assets management and Customer service support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Business, Supply Chain, Finance and related field experience preferred
  • 5-8 years experience
  • International Supply Chain experience in service and/or manufacturing a plus
