The Opportunity

As Supply Chain Performance Specialist, within Building Construction Products (BCP), you’ll play a key role in identifying and delivering business improvement opportunities across our logistics and supply chain operations. You’re responsible for driving performance against targets, including supplier delivery, inventory management, and order-to-delivery efficiency. You also lead initiatives to optimise material flow and enhance throughput across the facility.

What you will do:

As Supply Chain Performance Specialist, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Use ERP systems to analyse supply chain data, identify opportunities for improvement, assess return on investment, and implement solutions that enhance performance and cost‑efficiency.
  • Apply knowledge of material planning, inventory control, and logistics to lead the development and delivery of the Plan for Every Part, optimise replenishment processes, and improve throughput and inventory turns.
  • Collaborate effectively across internal teams and with external partners, using strong stakeholder engagement to share best practice and drive joined‑up working.
  • Provide clear leadership and guidance to team members, managing priorities, supporting development, and acting as a point of escalation for supply chain performance issues.

What You Can Demonstrate:
Level Extensive Experience:
  • Business Process Improvement: Confident in identifying and implementing more efficient ways of working across supply chain and operational processes. Experience in evaluating business impact, introducing new technologies, and driving change is key.
  • Analytical Thinking: Able to interpret data, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions. You’ll be expected to assess performance, quantify risks and benefits, and apply the most appropriate tools to support decision‑making.
  • Problem Solving: Skilled in resolving operational and supply chain challenges using structured problem‑solving techniques. Demonstrated success in supplier management and performance improvement is highly valued, alongside the ability to lead resolution efforts and embed continuous improvement practices.
  • Supply Chain Management - MFG: Proven understanding of supply chain principles is essential, including logistics, inventory control, and supplier performance. You’ll work across departments and with external partners, so excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills are key to success in this role.
What You May Have:
  • Exposure in Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Demand Management and/or Logistics, to apply this knowledge to optimise processes and drive performance.
  • Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems to manage supply chain data, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead improvement initiatives, manage timelines, and deliver results across cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop team members effectively.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes, with the ability to support supplier engagement and contribute to sourcing decisions.
