Our client are an established and successful manufacturer in the M62 corridor seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager. This role will cover buying (a spend of circa GBP17m) planning (mostly Excel focused and relatively manual) warehouse (goods in and good out with a sizeable stockholding) and transport (some of their own fleet, but utilising 3PL providers too) and be responsible for a headocunt of around 30 people. They are looking for a confident leader of people who can get better performance out of their existing team through effective training and management.   • Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy and determine key supply chain KPIs
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements
  • Identify bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Train and mentor members of the supply chain team
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with vendors
  • Identify new sources for required goods and evaluate
  • Visit key suppliers wherever necessary to ensure the company gets the best service
