  • Senior Buyer or Category Manager within social housing, local authority, or property maintenance sectors
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be:
  • Overseeing budget planning, costings and financial reports to see potential savings for the housing and maintenance teams
  • Tracking and managing budgets versus actual spend, ensuring contract compliance and monthly review of invoices
  • Supporting material and contractor costs to ensure spend is kept within budget
  • Leading on material procurement with agreed tendering policies, authorised within financial regulations
  • Administering contracts with external suppliers
  • Developing and delivering procurement strategies, and review and maintain a catalogue management system for all suppliers
  • Working with the operational teams to assist in the management of van stock

  • Proven commercial experience within housing or building maintenance
  • Experience managing supply chain, and a track record delivering value for money savings and service improvements
  • Contract management experience
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Understanding of public sector procedure and procurement frameworks
Qualifications:
  • Ideally MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent
  • Strong background in overseeing commercial operations across social housing or maintenance services.
  • Skilled in handling multiple contract formats from inception to completion.
