Job summary

A leading food business in the UK is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the entire supply chain for inbound and outbound food products. Responsibilities include managing sourcing, purchasing, stock analysis, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and to quality standards. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry, knowledge of UK and European operations, and proficiency in SAP software. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK & European food operations is essential.
• Exposure to European Group operations is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end supply chain for an array of food product lines for retail and wholesale.
• Liaise with food retail & wholesale customers, suppliers & 3PL providers.
• Ensure customer sales orders and stock deliveries are achieved on time in full (OTIF).

GBR Recruitment are proud to be recruiting exclusively for a leading food business, an experienced Supply Chain Manager, to lead the end-to-end supply chain for all inbound & outbound activities.

In this key head of supply chain role, you will be responsible for all Imported inbound food products & all outbound food products being distributed to food retail & food wholesale customers UK wide.

You will be managing the whole supply chain process from food products supplier sourcing & purchasing, contract negotiations with 3PL suppliers (chilled food storage & hauliers), food product goods receipts, stock analysis & trend analysis, ensuring by accurate forecasting that current stock holding levels meets customer demands to fulfil food product orders OTIF & to the quality required.

Strong knowledge & experience within the food manufacturing industry is a must in this key role.

This supply chain management role would suit someone with experience in UK & European food operations, someone who has had exposure to both or worked in a European Group would be ideal.

This foodie uses SAP software, so someone with SAP experience would be perfect.
