Job summary

Mirus Aircraft Seating Limited is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics and Supplier Quality Assurance across a growing aerospace manufacturing facility. The role drives lean processes, stock turns and supplier performance to support serial production.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will shape supply chain policy, manage international logistics, and align procurement strategy with broader manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement within serial production manufacturing.
• Experience leading Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics and Supplier Quality in aerospace/regulated environments.
• Proven ability to develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned to business objectives.

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager will lead and develop the Supply Chain function to effectively support a growing volume aerospace manufacturing facility.

The role will have overall responsibility for Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics and Supplier Quality Assurance, ensuring these areas work together effectively to support the business across all lifecycle phases, from the development and introduction of new product through to the daily demands of a serial production assembly line.

Working closely with the wider management teams across Mirus Aircraft Seating (Mirus), you will provide strong operational leadership while also contributing to the development and implementation of the company’s wider supply chain and manufacturing strategy.

The role will play a key part in scaling the business towards a high-volume aircraft interiors manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop supply chain processes, strengthen supplier performance, improve material availability and flow, and drive a culture of continuous improvement, commercial awareness and operational excellence.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES

In your role as our Supply Chain Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage the Supply Chain function to provide an effective, commercially focused and responsive service that supports the business and its growth objectives.
• Provide leadership across Purchasing, Logistics and Supplier Quality Assurance, establishing clear accountability, performance standards, KPIs and effective cross-functional working.
• Develop and implement the procurement strategy required to support the current and future needs of the business, ensuring appropriate sourcing, supplier capability and commercial arrangements are in place.
• Lead supplier engagement, including contract negotiations, supplier development and the integration of new suppliers into the business, ensuring the appropriate balance between quality, cost, delivery and commercial performance.
• Develop and maintain robust supplier performance management processes, identifying risks and opportunities and taking proactive action to improve supplier quality, delivery and overall performance.
• Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Quality, Finance and other functions to ensure material availability and quality, reduce WIP, increase efficiency and support improved stock turns and working capital performance.
• Work closely with the Planning and Logistics function to drive towards an integrated Supply Chain, ensuring lean Supply Chain processes.
• Ensure effective supply chain planning, using robust analysis of sales, operational and financial requirements to manage inventory levels and mitigate supply risk.
• Lead the development and implementation of Supply Chain policies, processes and procedures, ensuring efficient and effective workflows supported by appropriate operational metrics and performance reporting.
• Provide guidance and oversight for international and local import/export procedures and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and supporting efficient movement of materials.
• Identify, assess and actively manage Supply Chain risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place to protect production continuity and on-time customer delivery.
• Ensure the MRP system is effectively maintained and that all relevant data within the ERP solution remains accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
• Support NPI/NPD and engineering change programmes, ensuring appropriate supply chain planning, supplier readiness, material availability and production readiness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with the Director of Operations and wider leadership team to shape and deliver the company’s operational and supply chain strategy, ensuring the organisation has the capability, capacity and supplier infrastructure required for sustainable growth.

About you

To help Mirus continue its journey of growth, you will bring significant experience leading Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement within a demanding serial production manufacturing environment, along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

• Demonstrable experience in a senior Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement leadership role within a serial production manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing a Supply Chain function encompassing areas such as Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics and Supplier Quality.
• Experience gained within aerospace, automotive, first-tier supply, or a similarly complex and regulated manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience managing supplier relationships and performance within a growth-focused manufacturing business.
• Demonstrable experience developing and implementing procurement and supply chain strategies aligned to wider business objectives.
• Strong commercial awareness, with proven experience in supplier negotiations, contracts, cost management and balancing quality, cost and delivery requirements.
• Strong understanding of managing supplier performance and operational supply chain risk.
• Demonstrable experience improving stock turns, working capital and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Experience managing international logistics and a strong understanding of global import/export practices.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of ERP and MRP systems, with an appreciation of the importance of accurate master data and planning parameters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify supply chain risks, resolve complex issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Experience working cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance and other business functions.
• Experience supporting NPI/NPD and the successful introduction of new products into serial production.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop capability, create accountability and build a high-performing and collaborative function.
• Degree-level qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional procurement or supply chain qualification/accreditation.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
• Previous consolidation centre experience within the Supply Chain function.
• Experience within an Aerospace Production Organisation and knowledge of aviation interiors quality and procedural requirements.
• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
