Consortium are pleased to be representing a well‑established and highly successful food manufacturer in the Hull area, who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will report directly to the Managing Director and have the opportunity to influence at group level, internationally. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, from raw material intake, internal logistics and to final product distribution, while leading 11 direct reports and 20 indirect reports. This is a pivotal role for someone who is very results‑driven, takes a direct approach, and is passionate about operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long‑term supply chain strategies to support business growth and improve performance.
  • Implement new processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and successfully manage change through periods of growth.
  • Navigate complex international logistics, customs regulations, and trade agreements; strong proficiency in import and export documentation and procedures is essential.
  • Foster and manage relationships with a global network of suppliers, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Manage inventory levels and optimise logistics to meet production demands and customer expectations.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate a high‑performing supply chain team.
  • Drive robust data analysis and forecasting to inform decision‑making and improve efficiency.

  • Proven track record as a Supply Chain Manager within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong expertise in import and export processes is a non‑negotiable requirement.
  • Experienced in implementing processes, identifying improvements and managing change through business growth.
  • Very results‑driven, with a direct and collaborative approach to leadership.
  • Strong data analysis and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at group and international level.
