Supply Chain Inventory and Waste Coordinator

Location: Redhill, RH1 3AS

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 08:30 – 16:00

Salary: £45,000

Purpose

To reduce commercial waste across the supply chain by improving visibility, analysing root causes, recommending corrective actions, and driving cross‑functional improvements. To manage clearance and redistribution pathways for stock that falls below retailer shelf‑life requirements.

Your Duties Will Include
  • Maintaining weekly and monthly reporting of inventory and waste, Minimum Life on Receipt (MLOR), claims and performance.
  • Producing waste driver analysis.
  • Root cause analysis on issues such as forecast variances, transit problems or site handling issues.
  • Drive waste reduction initiatives and lead structured interventions, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver improvements.
  • Support manufacturing trials such as pack changes, lead‑time adjustments, ordering rule amendments, or storage improvements.
  • Support demand planners by reviewing forecasts for volatile or high‑waste SKUs, trend analysis and supply‑chain insights.
  • Lead monthly waste reviews with key stakeholders.
Experience
  • Supply chain or operations experience in FMCG, retail or food manufacturing.
  • Experience analysing waste, inventory, availability or product lifecycle.
Technical Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to automate reporting and build analytical models.
  • Understanding of shelf‑life management, MLOR, inventory management methods and chilled / ambient operational behaviours.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Able to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Curious, proactive, and improvement driven.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
