A renowned beverage company is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee local procurement operations in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. Strong analytical and negotiation skills, fluency in English and Chinese, and experience in procurement management are essential. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to optimizing the supply chain in a fast-paced environment.
Lead local procurement operations in the UK, including sourcing, evaluating, and managing qualified suppliers to ensure stable and reliable supply channels.
Conduct market research and price benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts and pricing terms, and secure the most competitive products and services.
Develop and execute procurement strategies and annual plans, aligning with business needs and ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient purchasing while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Establish and maintain a supplier performance evaluation system, tracking delivery timeliness, quality compliance, and service level, and drive continuous improvement among suppliers.
Coordinate import and export procurement processes, ensuring all transactions comply with UK customs, import/export, and tax regulations. Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth and compliant clearance.
Collaborate with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure efficient warehousing, distribution, and delivery that align with procurement and replenishment plans.
Maintain close and effective communication with the China headquarters and related departments, ensuring accurate information flow, timely issue resolution, and coordinated decision‑making in cross‑border purchasing projects.
Monitor and analyse supply chain data (inventory, cost, quality, etc.), and prepare periodic reports to support strategic decision‑making and continuous process optimisation.
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, International Trade, or related fields.
Proficient in English and Chinese for business communication, documentation, and negotiation.
Solid experience in procurement management, supplier sourcing, and contract negotiation; familiarity with international trade and logistics operations.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and project coordination skills; capable of balancing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Highly detail‑oriented and responsible, able to work and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with food service or FMCG supply Chain is a plus.
