A leading automotive company in England seeks apprentices for their Supply Chain program, commencing in September 2026. This 3-year program offers hands-on experience across various supply chain functions, focusing on key responsibilities like demand forecasting and developing stakeholder relationships. Ideal candidates should have 5 GCSEs at grades C or above and possess strong analytical and communication skills. A starting salary of £21,000, along with performance bonuses and benefits, is offered.
The Supply Chain is at the heart of every business – it is a system of organisations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving products or services from supplier to customer; a lot more than just moving parts from A to B! You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain, consider the effect of clear demand and specification management on each function, and strive to deliver the best value for the business. Due to the high number of interactions across multiple functions within the business, you will need strong relationship building, influencing, stakeholder management and communication skills alongside sound analytical, information technology and numeracy skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing requirements. You will directly be adding performance to the car, by enabling a faster and more dynamic supply chain, leading to a higher rate of development and facilitates compressed build programmes. Achieve more, in less time.
While you will be a part of the Programme Management Function, during the 3-year Scheme, you will also spend time getting hands on experience in other supply chain functions, to gain a full understanding and appreciation of the entire supply chain process.
As an apprentice in the business you will be working towards and completing the Supply chain practitioner (fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)) level 3 qualification. Further details of the specific modules that will be studied as part of the qualification are detailed below. This qualification will also link in various Risk, Change and Project Management techniques to ensure the apprentice has a well-rounded knowledge base for any potential future role in the Programme Management function.
You will also be added to the 3 day Professional Foundation Qualification in Programme Management as part of your development.
